National Council on US-Arab Relations Internship Program (NCUSAR) Discussion/Chances

Hello, all!
I'm in the process of applying to the NCUSAR's DC Internship program (website here: NCUSAR Internship Opportunities )

I know it's a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone here had heard of the program or had a sense of its selectivity.

In terms of my stats, I'm a Sophomore at Tulane University; 33 credits in AP's, 73 credits over 4 semesters with a 3.94 GPA. Majoring in Political Economy, minoring in English, and attempting to see an independent Middle Eastern Studies major approved. As far as resume goes :
-> Presidential scholar (Dep't of Ed program; selects one male and one female per state after sr year) and one of 12 scholars chosen to go on a free experiential trip to China
-> Research position with New Orleans Media History (obscure, but at least research-oriented)
-> High proficiency in French, mid/low intermediate proficiency in Arabic
-> Slightly above-average computer skills (can work with Photoshop, Indesign, HTML, Wordpress, FTP, etc)
