I recently received a 1440 on the PSAT which I understand will not make me a national merit semi finalist. Though it is kind of close for my state of MN, will this hurt me for college applications? Will the Ivy League schools use the semifinalist status as a filter? My SAT score is 1510, which is significantly higher. Will this negatively impact my application?

Definitely not. In fact, a pretty large chunk of admits aren’t semifinalists. It would certainly help you, but I personally think it can’t harm you.
