<p>i got an invitation to join in the mail today and i have no clue what it is (i am Canadian). how prestigious is this, and should i join? what are the benefits of becoming a member?</p>

<p>I've heard mostly that it's a scam and even if I hadn't heard this, I can't say that I think it would be worth it to pay $45 (or whatever it is) to join an organization that basically says that I have good grades/test scores.</p>
<p>I got an ivitation too. I asked my counselors, and they said I shouldn't join if they charged money. They said scholarship foundations that ask for money are scams. I'm not sure if I should apply though or not.</p>
