For undergrads, are majors such as biology, chemistry, biochemistry very competitive (as in difficult to achieve A’s)? Is there grade inflation or deflation? Also, are the PreMed Track Advisors at USC helpful?
USC is known for having grade deflation in those subjects. A’s are still doable, though, if you put in the work. Pre-med advising is okay, based on what I’ve heard from friends, but it could be better. With Dornsife, you need to take charge of your course plan (which all students should do anyways), more so than in the professional schools. There is plenty of support, though, like at any private school.
