NCP Waiver Approval?

Hello,
Recently, I submitted NCP waivers to Georgetown, American, GW, Tulane, Fordham, and Kenyon. Just for some insight, my parents got divorced when I was 3 and I have not seen my father at all for the last 13 years. The only “ties”, I guess, that I have to him is that he is court-mandated to give me about $100 in child support every two weeks; even when logging on online, we have no ability to trace when and where these payments are being made. I hope that my waiver was enough, but I am prepared to send copies of some court orders, including the time a restraining order was filed and the many times he was unable to be contacted by the courts, the most recent being last summer when I needed to get a passport.

Just to be clear, I understand that every college interprets and makes a decision on a case to case basis, but I was just looking for a general you do/do not have a good chance of getting your NCP waiver approved based on the schools I am applying to or just my situation in general. Thank you!

He has paid though? Every two weeks?

@Sybylla yes.

You might be asked for a copy of the child support order and when it will expire (some go to 21, some to 18).

You might document the steps you have taken to try to reach him (through his parents? siblings?) if you are allowed to. Some of the restraining orders may prevent that, or it may not be safe.

The more documentation you have, the more likely you will be to be successful.
