I just got an email from NC State saying I should complete my FAFSA and the deadline is March 1st. Is this a good sign? This is my first time I’m probably over speculating and I usually just brush things like this to the side. What’s the point of doing it if I’m not going to get in?
I think you are missing something. You should have completed the FAFSA regardless of where you get in. Send it to all colleges you applied. Once admitted they will run financial aid and then you will be able to compare costs.
My son got that email too and we already did the fasfa. Think it went out to everyone?
Standard reminder emails. They send it to all applicants, even if they already have submitted.

NC state starts allocating money on March 1. While they are not allocating to specific individuals yet, you need to make them aware you are applying for aid. Otherwise you run the risk of being told there is no aid available.
