Essays (honestly I don’t know how to rate my own essays…if it wasn’t a 10/10 in my heart I wouldn’t have turned them in)
Commonapp: I like it
Why ND: I like it A LOT
Question that fascinated you: I think it was pretty unique, all my friends liked this one the most
Incomplete: I wrote something from my heart

Me with ND:
-visited campus a million times (JK…but i did go a lot of times)
-Notre Dame IEP (introduction to engineering) summer program
-know a bunch of alums, have lots of good friends there)
-basically watched all the web seminars of Notre Dame in my senior year
-met and contacted local rep couple of times
-one of my recommender (our school’s head football coach) emailed our local rep. They talked about football and stuff, then he recommended me!

Other info:
Gender: gal
State: Iowa
Enthnity: not white
Intended major: Computer Engineering
Religion: Catholic high school; I’m not religious

As you can see…Notre Dame is my dream school. To be honest if MIT and ND admit me at the same time, I’d pick ND with absolutely no doubt. Notre dame is like my home…so

I’ve just been panicking after I submitted my application. Two guys from my high school already got in; I’m afraid that I’m not as good when compare to them. :frowning:
If you would tell me your honest opinions that’d be awesome!!! Thank you so much in advance!!

GO IRISH!!!

You have extremely strong academic credentials.Your non-academic EC’s are a bit run of the mill. I’d be surprised if you were not admitted

Your stats certainly look fantastic. You seem to have a passion for engineering (still trying to figure out that business activity though!). I’d be very surprised if you didn’t get in. Best of luck!

@Wje9164be thank you!
@IvyHopeful98 thanks! I did a lot of activities related to both engineering and business/Econ. Even I’d like to major in engineering, I took a lot of business & law & design classes.

@tina23 Did you send both SAT and ACT? Your ACT is a low lower than your SAT, but since your SAT is really really good you should be fine. You should be good overall. Good luck (not that you will need it).

@ilhistorygeek yes I sent both. Thanks  of course I’ll need the “good luck”

I’d be extremely surprised if you didn’t get in. The only slight weakness that you have is that you don’t have any leadership positions in any clubs, but that is completely overcompensated by your ridiculously good SAT scores.

Would you mind chancing mine, as well? Go Irish!

You should be fine as long as your essays are decent, especially if you wrote in a way that displayed your passion for Notre Dame. My son was accepted EA with similar stats and no hooks. He had slightly better test scores but you have better EC’s. I would be absolutely shocked if you didn’t get accepted.

@wneely16 thanks! Hope we both get in!
@GraceDad thank you  congrats to your son! Go Irish!
