NEAG School of Education

I posted this on UConn's page, but I thought this area might get more looks.

Does anyone have information about UConn's education dept.? I have heard as a freshman it is hard to get in, they are more serious about education and intentions than some schools and they have a reputation for making a lot of future administrators too. I haven't met anyone who has gone through the school or is in it.
Thanks for any info if you have it.

I know that it is well respected in its field and it's very competitive to get in...I heard from one student who didn't get in, you have to have very good grades, references, write an essay, etc. I don't know anyone in the school per se, but did speak to someone getting her masters in school psychology which is in NEAG and loves it.

Found this article if you haven't seen it.

My friend got in with an excellent GPA, Honors Program status, and several extracurricular activities with elementary children.
