hi all. i'm a psych major/bio minor and i'll be applying to graduate schools for dietetics (nutrition) in the fall. i have the opportunity to be the Vice President of my school's Undergraduate Psychology Association which would no doubt look great if i was going for psych but unfortunately i don't know if this position would help or hurt my resume. i don't want to seem unfocused or uninterested in nutrition (even though i already have a few nutrition-related extracurricular). any advice will help in my decision!!

I don’t think it will matter. If you have a page limit, I would cut it out to make room for other things. If you need to fill space, stick it on. I don’t think it will hurt, nor do I think they will put much stock in it.

really? i always thought that admissions committees for grad school put a lot of stock into leadership roles.
anyone else?

ECs are more or less irrelevant for a science program. They might be good for an NSF GRF though. The most important thing for admission is your academics, your research experience and the letters of reference you get from faculty members who know you well.
