I am finsihing up my AA at Broward College. I recently got accepted into FIUs communications program. I live an hour away from both campuses, so commuting is not really something I see fit. I dont know what the ■■■■ my parents are doing that other people are not, but my EFC that has came back as 70,400…My dad is earning a little under 70k a year. My mom has not worked in almost a year, her previous job she was earning about 42k. So my parents combined income is a few thousand dollars less than my efc. I am completely out of the picture for any type of grants with this efc, which I have read is for massively affluent families. I do have prepaid and I am mainly looking for assistance in housing , rather it be campus or off campus , for my 2 years of pursuing my bachelors. My parents would have to take out loads of money from investment accounts/ retirement accounts.
