Okay, so I'm a freshman at a school ranked in the top 20 and my science GPA sucks.
I got a C+ in Bio 1, B- in Chem 1, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a C+ in Chem this semester.
I really really want to be a doctor though, so should I just face the facts and let this dream go? Any advice as to what I should do next?
So, at my school we can drop one class without penalty, but it will show up on our transcript. Should I consider applying a foreign medical school with a premed program like SGU (St George's).
So basically here are my options the way I see them:
1) Take Chemistry 2 again over the summer
2) Accept that I can never go to medical school
3) Apply to a premed program at somewhere like SGU, so at least I can go to medical school.
4) Anything else you can think of?
If you guys could give me some kind of input and advice that would be awesome. I'm just so confused right now as to what I should do. I am seriously considering a foreign medical school, b/c I dont want to give up...

Any chance? There is always some chance.

Don’t retake, as it will still show up on your transcript. Move on.

A premed track at SGU is silly. Plenty of American places offer good post-bacc options, but this is something to think about when you are getting close to the end of college.

It is also a little too early for #2, but it’s not too early to consider what it would mean if it were true. What else might you be interested in? There’s a lot of great careers out there, including the allied health fields.
