<p>One of my sons dream schools is Michigan, he is not holding his breath but is applying. There is an essay they ask for that asks for:</p>
<p>Share an experience through which you have gained respect for intellectual, social, or cultural differences. Comment on how your personal experiences and achievements would contribute to the diversity of the University of Michigan. </p>
<p>He wrote of his own personal set back and did it quite well, I might add. I am wondering if someone reading this objectively would be able to comment on whether you think this addresses the above. It is heartfelt and he said it felt like the most natural thing to write about but we also want to be sure it addressses what they are asking.
