<p>^^it is possible I am completely out of date here and an alum rec is necessary. Last year I wrote my first in 25 years and was amazed the forms were on-line!</p>
<p>The important point (and I think this is true) is without a rec there can be no invitation. If you are rushing, it needs some planning imho.</p>
