i am currently in my 2nd semester at William Paterson University in North Jersey for accounting, but now i plan to transfer to a college in California as i would like to begin my career there. at the end of the semester i will have 28 credits, but im unsure of where i should go from here. i have weighed out the options:
1. finish Prerequisites at WPU then transfer to a California college
2. transfer after this semester to a community college(SBCC) to get an Associates, get residency in CA, then move on to a CSU or UC. (alot cheaper)
I currently have a 3.75 GPA and plan on getting close to the same this semester. my main concern here is how the credits from WPU will transfer over. i really cant decide and my parents have been of no help to me. any guidance would be greatly appreciated, because im really lost here.

Is there any reasons why you want to transfer here in California? If money is an issue I would go the second route. Do you have any csu/UC’s in mind?

i just like the area, i visited a friend there once and loved it. money is kind of an issue, but i feel that transferring credits from multiple schools is not exactly the best idea. also if i can keep a high GPA up i was considering Berkeley, but have not looked into others yet. any reccomendations?
