Hi everyone. I'm currently trying to decide what classes to take in Fall 2010 (I'll be a sophomore). I'm in the college of letters and science for MCB, but thinking about switching into college of natural resources for toxicology.

Right now, I am signing up for Phys 8A and Chem3B/3BL (which I know is going to be fairly difficult for me already).

I was also thinking about taking Western Civilization R44 because it fulfills my second half of R&C plus the Art/Lit breadth requirement. I could either do that or take two other courses: Asian American Studies R2B, Celtic Studies R1B (or some other R1B course), plus one of either Chinese 7a, Japanese 7a, Classics 10A or Environmental Policy C12 to fulfill a breadth. I'm concerned about the reading and writing workload of Western Civ, but would taking this one course be easier than two of the others? Can anyone that has taken any of these courses offer their opinions (about grading and workload)? How many essays do you generally write in R1B classes? Any advice is appreciated.
