What i want to do is study animal biology or zoology, but im in doubt on going on to accomplish that. Should i look for a university that offers a biology major, and then go on to another for a masters or even phd in zoology or animal science, or should i just major in animal biology, like UC Davis offers?

Depends on what you want to do. If you’re content with the jobs you can get with an animal science bachelor’s degree, then major in animal science. If you know for sure that you want to go to grad school, major in either. If you’re not sure you want to go to grad school and you’re not sure you want a job in animal science, a biology degree has better job opportunities.

I would find a large university with great research labs. Then I would major in a degree program that requires lots of lab classes including biology, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, genetics, etc. This way you will have a wonderful background for any graduate school program, medical school. etc. And finally, work in those on campus labs for a few hours every week. You will learn so much about the latest stuff and it will inspire you!
