Basically I am a senior in High School, and am having trouble deciding what I want to do in life.

The plans was that I would go to LSU and become a Petroleum Engineer, and up until tonight I felt like I was completely content with this choice. They get paid well , easy to move up the management ladder, it's a hard career but it pays off well , and I would be able to live comfortably and afford a nice life style. (Parents rack in 200k annually , so we have lived a pretty nice life style , I drive a nice car and have an obsession with nice cars, etc.)

The issue is I have ALWAYS loved film. I started a film company when I was 14 making small time advertisement videos for video games and made way more then anyone that age should feasibly be allowed too. English(Followed closely by Science and Social Studies) has always been my strongest subject. Earned like a 98 in my high school film class without even trying. I read Crime and Punishment as if it was a magazine. If I actually made it in film , it would be a dream come true to say the least.

And in here lies the problem , I can either go to LSU and major in Petroleum and struggle through the Math(Math has always been my weakest subject.) and effectively forget my film dream. Or I can go to UGA(It is in-state) and major in Pre-Pharmacy(Pharmacy is a nice back up.) and work on my film skills with a friend who is majoring in film at Georgia State. The problem is in life I want to be able to afford a nice house and a nice car and meet my parents current standard of living if not exceed it.

So what should I do?
