Need help with IB and AP! Please!

I'll finish SAT this year and I don't know which one to take after that.I do really well in my studies,am extremely motivated so academic challenge is not an issue for me-I live for any kind of excitement;).How long do I need to study for AP?There's also a 2 year AP programme that I'm interested in,but AP seems to take less time and I heard that they're more or less the same.I also know that IB are much more sought after by colleges. But you just learn the same thing right?PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, and HELP!!

well, i'm not sure if i understand your question, and i can only answer from an IB standpoint, but...

What you learn depends almost entirely on the teachers who teach the classes. a good teacher will teach you everything you need to know for either test in time, and a bad teacher won't.

I think IB is much better then AP simply because IB has a curriculum for an entire course of study, and everything comliments everything else. You have to take an elective, write and extended essay, document CAS hours, and take TOK. AP students pick and choose what subjects they want to take.

What I meant was, should I go for AP or IB(2years) after my SATs?I'm not from the US,not taking any AP classes.Planning to apply to college with my AP or IB scores. How long do I need to prepare for AP exams?Really interested in IB but 2 years seems like a long time for college entry level studies. Thanks for replying.

How old are you? What grade are you in? IB is a great experience! Sure, it is a lot of work. However, the friends you make in IB makes it worth it. I would also go IB since it's more universal. It's accepted at various universities around the world.

I think you need to explain what kind of school system you are in in your home country. What is the normal path?
