need help with scholarship

i've been screw around on collegeboard and fastweb. two biggest search engine for scholarship, i've found tons of them

however most of them require me to write an essay, so i don't what I should do
mom tells me to write them, but there are like 1000 of them, so i need to write 1000 essays? hell no, i rather work at walmart and pay loan than write ***** load of essays that still depend on chance.

so anyone know what I should do? what type of scholarship should I do?/what scholarship worth an essay? I don't mind write 5 or 10, but 1000 is just too many

my income is about 45000/yr, and is a 3 ppl family dependent.

i would look at local scholarships. Most of the essay contests of fastweb are national, and therefore you will have a small chance to win them. Ive appled to around 10 outside scholarships with essays. Around 7 were local.

Talk to your school counselor or look at your school's website (if they have one) for scholarship info.

I would call/email the people and ask them how many applications/entries do they generally recieve and how many scholarships do they give. That way, you can gauge your chances at winning the scholarship.

^^ ooh, thats good. Do that too.
