Need help with universities!!!

Hello dear people!
As you know, the deadline for choosing the university to attend is just right the corner. I am now really freaking out, and I hope someone knowing and unbiased could help me, at least to clear some stupid concerns of mine

I've been accepted to UMiami, and I was thinking about going there, still yesterday. But now I am having second thoughts. I always wanted to go to California for studies (been accepted to Occidental,Pepperdine,Loyola Marymount,Chapman,USanDiego, and UMiami is the best one of these, right!?), although I have never really been there (well, one and a half day in Santa Monica), never been in Miami and Florida. Now I have this opinion that Miami would be too hot to live there, as I am from Eastern Europe and am used to go to such places only in holidays. So.. isn't the heat disturbing and do you only wear shorts and flip-flops there? ahh.. And what about the people? Isn't the stereotype that the majority of people there are superficial and, well, nothing more in mind than partying and stuff, and not much diversity? Somehow this California dream is still in me, but UM seems like the best school. Occidental seems to be good, but might be too small, which is my biggest concern. I am just really stuck, I want to go to the US to study, but can't choose where, as it is a game of luck for me actually-have no idea about how it is going to be. Should I choose academics over the place I wanted to go from the beginning- California? Or, is Miami good enough to give up on CA?

I am sorry about these ridiculous questions, but as you can see, it's like a blind game for me, I really hope I could get some advice!
thanks in advance!!

[National and Local Weather Forecast, Hurricane, Radar and Report](http://www.weather.com)

Visit that site, and check the weather history for each of the cities that you are considering. I have family in Miami, and yes the summers can be very hot and humid, but by most standards the rest of the year (when you would be in school there) is very pleasant.

You also should consider include your transportation costs. Since you are in Europe, it will take longer for you to get to California, and it will probably cost more money, than to travel to Florida.

Lastly, do employers in your home country prefer any of these places? If you are more likely to get a job if you graduate from X, and X is not hideously more expensive than Y, then you probably want to attend X.

Oxy is the only other school i would consider besides Miami - I would stay in CA for Oxy not the others.
