okay i know this might be the millionth thread on interviews, hotelies but im going for an in-campus interview this friday and leaving this thurs. and tips or advices you would give me?

Dress nicely -- shirt and tie, khakis, and loafers at a minimum.
Have some questions to ask.
Make sure you see all the facilities in the hotel school itself.
The Statler has lots and lots of students working there -- and all of them are friendly and willing to talk to guests. Take advantage and interview them!

GOOD LUCKKK=]]]] tell me how it goes and what they ask pleasee! haha. actually, i'm getting off campus, I didn't request mine yet though. Do we need to do it this early? Thanks!

bring a resume!

yeah im bringing a resume. also i will tell you what questions they ask if i remember. im doing it early cause i hae school starting monday and i have band camp this week. then im busy when school starts of marching band, and stuff.

thanks ya all.

holy moly. I got my off campus interview person thingey. i'm sooo nervous even though I just got the email. -__-

lol. im nervous also, i can only prepare like a couple of hours during breakfast cause i have to read my summer reading book that i forgot during the 6 hr car ride even though i get dizzy when reading stuff and need advils. :P

oh yeah, remember to smile. I tried to keep that in mind during my whole interview.

Hopefully I didnt go overboard with it....that wouldve been creey Id imagin o_O

haha okay man. thanks for that info. even though im not really that much of a smiler :P

yeah heres an update from my hotel.

DO NOT DRIVE ON I-78 WEST after I-81 DURING THE NIGHT. IT IS RIDICULOUS THE ROAD, since its pitch black and its a one lane on each side and its 55 mph. be prepared to have cars past by you from the other lane if your going to slow since the road allows that and be prepared to turn your high beam on and off.

dont sleep at ramada inn. i wanted to get a room at statler but it was booked. ramada inn really really is the worst hotel i ever slept in. the rooms smell terrible, they charge you like 12 bucks for a refrigerator in your room. its totally not worth the money. paid 156 bucks and im not satisfied at all.

hahah. GOOD LUCKKK! =]]

thanks pass. yeah i got an alumni who works there now who interviewed me.

he asks questions like what can you do for cornell, or what interests you to the school of hotel adminstration or what do you want to become after attending the SHA. and stuff

then he looks at your resume and asks questions about your resume, school classes, etc.
