<p>1) 3x-1= -(3x-4) you can’t have it be plus 3x-4 since then 3x would cancel and you would get a false equation.
3x-1=-3x+4, 6x=5, x=5/6. Plug this back in to check that it works.</p>
<p>2) The constant terms of those expressions have to be equal. 100=5bc, bc=20</p>
