Need SAT Prep advice FAST

I have approximately one month until I write the December SAT, and I need advice as to how to prepare. I studied the Blue Book and Barron's SAT during summer (I'm done with Barron's practise questions but not the tests, and I'm done all the Blue Book practise Q's + 7 tests), and then I foolishly stopped studying when school became a little intensive (about mid-september) - this means that I haven't studied for about a month and a half straight. My highest score so far is a 2280 on a practise test, and I recently took one last weekend and got a range of 2040-2230 because I messed up one CR passage (this was because I lost focus and sort of zoned out...I was very tired while taking the test so I'm not too worried about this result).

I usually get perfect or 1 off on Writing, and my essays are decent (I'm preparing a topics document in order to memorize a bank of examples I can use so I can finish it faster and have time to look it over). On CR, I get 2-3 sentence completion wrong, coupled with 1-2 long passage questions, for a usual range of about 710-770. I'm confident that if I use Noitaraperp's guide to the CR section, I can get an 800 (coupled with the DH studying I'm doing).

The real problem I have is math. I'm a good math student at school, but on the SAT I often find myself running out of time on the math sections, meaning I end up leaving 1 or 2 blank every time - which leads to a score of about 680-720. I usually understand the harder questions once I look at them, but the problem is that I never have time to do them. I'm currently using Dr. Chungs SAT Math to prepare, as I've heard it's best for those who want to boost their score into the high 700s...which would be me.
However, I've seen some heavy criticism of this book, so this is my real question.

Should I continue using Dr. Chungs, or is it not worth it (I haven't done much..I'm only on tip 21 and have not done any practise tests)? I don't have enough time to go through a variety of books...so I need to know fast. If I decide to ditch Chung's , I'll most likely go with PWN the SAT or The New SAT Math Game Plan as a replacement. If you could provide me with advice on studying for the other sections as well; that would be great.

Thanks in advance, and please help - I don't want to waste time with Chungs and then not have enough time left over to study sufficiently.

P.S. My goal is to get around 2300 for the actual test..is this achievable? (I'm a junior btw)

hit voacb list , take tons of practice tests and work accordingly!!

bump

please help guys!

Update - I took a test today (number 8) and got a range of 2050-2310… with raw scores of:
62 in CR (2 vocab and 2 changing answers when I had it right >.<)
47 in math (I’m really discouraged by this…I finished two of the sections with ample time to spare…but made two stupid mistakes and didn’t understand two of the questions at all… I REALLY need tips for Math guys)
45 in W w/ 10 essay assumed (this was kind of sad…I saw my mistakes and wanted to bash my head against the wall. I’m going to review grammar rules before taking my next practice test and hopefully fix this issue)

I’m starting to get more and more discouraged by my results. My scores are going down, not up. I had a 2280 a couple months ago, and now I’m at a 2190 (by Practise Test 1 scoring chart)…I’m at a loss as to what to do. If you guys could please provide me with some advice as to how to study effectively so that I can boost my score, it would be greatly appreciated. Should I get rid of Chungs??? Is it not worth it??? I’m going to take another practice test next weekend and during the week i’ll be doing ~1 hour of math a day coupled with 30 mins of vocab and 30 mins of either essay writing or CR practice…and I’ll review my writing rules as well.
