So I plan on going through the MEV program at Texas Tech to get my environmental engineering degree while also minoring in environmental studies for those 4 years. The MEV program is a 5-year program but I am not sure if that fifth year will be a master or just a bachelor degree. After finishing the MEV program I want to go into environmental law but I do not know how to prepare for the LSAT while studying for an engineering degree.
Another issue is that engineering tends to yield lower GPA’s than other subjects and law schools will not cut you any slack on that account.
To do well you’ll need to take as many writing intensive classes as possible and a class in Logic ( part of the philosophy Dept and a specific way to analyze things that appears on the LSAT).
Neither will be easy to fit into MEV do you’ll have to make a deliberate effort to take them.
Beside environmental law, you’ll be able to work as a patent lawyer.
