Negotiating Financial Aid

<p>So when you negotiate with a college to possibly get more money from them, is it better to call or to send them a letter?</p>

<p>It’s best to go in person. It’s better to do this in writing. First, you will have a copy of the letter. Second, you will be able to send any necessary documentation (proof of medical expenses, job loss, death of breadwinner, financial crisis, or something that shows that what is on your financial aid application forms does not accurately reflect your real finances).</p>
