Nerds at Connecticut College

Hey guys! I'm planning on going to Connecticut College, but I am a little nervous over transitioning (just like 99% of kids).
I am planning on majoring in physics, but I was wondering if someone who is quite on the nerdy side would fit in well. For example, I'm on a robotics team, play Magic the Gathering, and discuss philosophy or science with my friends for kicks. My groups of friends have always ended up being nerdy, and I plan on majoring in physics.
I visited the Connecticut College campus, and loved it... except everyone seemed a little on the artsy/musical side which I more than admire but couldn't contribute to the conversation at all.

P.S. If anyone knows anything about the Connecticut College Science Leaders Program, that would also be much appreciated.

Hi @TheNoodleEffect I just sent my deposit for Conn and I can relate to your feelings on transitioning. After visiting Conn a few times, I can say that no matter what your interests are, you will find that niche and group of friends. There are groups for those who enjoy sports, music, theater, nerdy stuff, etc. All you need to do is put yourself out there and meet new people. It can be tough at first in a new environment with new people, but if you go out and meet new people you will certainly find people with similar interests! Also, don’t be afraid to branch out as well and explore new interests; college is a big place and you never know what you might enjoy.
