Neuroscience at Grinnell

Does anyone have information or experience with the Neuroscience program/major at Grinnell? Thanks.

I'm a Mom of a first-year. I don't know about neuroscience at Grinnell, but science in general has a good rep. The classes are very small and they have a great new science building. The connections with alum seem to be incredible for internships and jobs.

Biology is strong, chemistry is strong, cs and philosophy have high PhD productivity numbers but I'm not sure how good either department really is is, I'm not aware how the hard science psychology classes are.

It's a concentration, which is essentially a minor. If you're looking for a strong neuroscience department Grinnell (and any LAC, from what I've seen) isn't the school for it--although to be fair, neuroscience isn't really a traditional undergraduate program and you'll probably be going through a grouping of cs, bio, chem, psych and phil courses at other schools anyway. If you just want to explore the field, then you'll probably be fine.
