Hey guys so I was wondering what the neuroscience major is like at upitt. I tried to do some research online and found some insightful stuff but I wanted to hear what some of the students had to say about the major cause my friend is applying there this year with an interest in neuroscience.
Thanks!

Best,
A Pitt Admissions Staffer
One of our neighbors is going to be a junior at Pitt this year. He was neuroscience major but had to switch because it was extremely difficult to maintain a high Gpa. He is also very smart is that makes a difference and is there with a scholarship. In mine and his opinion it is a very research and writing major instead of actually bio type learning classes.
A neuroscience program heavy in undergrad research and writing is absolutely what anyone that is actually interested in the field should be looking for. One of the reasons Pitt’s undergrad neuro program is one of the best in the world, along with its plethora of traditional neuroscience lecture courses and its cadre of dedicated undergraduate neuroscience faculty.
