Neuroscience - UCSD v Wustl + a few more

I got rejected from Brown, my top choice for neuroscience and everything else besides MIT, from which I was rejected as well, so... :(

Now I'm looking primarily at UCSD and WashU. I have 2 main questions:
1. Which undergraduate neuroscience program is stronger?
2. Which is better towards undergrads?
I'm slightly leaning towards washington university in st. louis, but I'll visit both first before making a decision. Money's not much of a problem.

I need to catch up on some info, since I found this forum this late in the college process. Of course, I searched through the forums for neuroscience threads, but not everything's answered. Can I have some comments on the neuroscience programs at these?
UPenn - is the neuroscience (bbb) program better than washu or ucsd (waitlisted) ?
Cornell - same q as UPenn, but accepted.
Berkeley - I heard it was less undergrad-focused/neuroscience is weaker. True?

I know this is a lot of requests, so feel free to answer only one or two if you're short on time. Tidbits of info are fine. Thanks in advance! :)

Dave Holtzman (neuroscience at WUSTL) is amazing.

I'd pick Cornell, personally. I just really like the atmosphere of the school, and all of their science programs are quite good.

My second pick would be UCSD. I'm not a big fan of WUSL.

world changer,

i don't really understand you. you made a big deal about the cold in another thread when a prospie was asking northwestern vs ucsd and the person was interested in econ, obviously northwestern's strength. now, this OP is interested in neuroscience, more of washu and ucsd's strength than cornell's but somehow you tell the op you'd pick cornell? even ithaca is colder than chicago? did you go there?

I'm not talking about weather here. I elaborated on weather in the other thread because it came up for discussion.

Anyway, all I said is that I personally don't like WUSL. I never said that it wasn't a good school. On the other hand, I adore Cornell...it's just an overall really neat place. I like UCSD too.

Thanks for your comments so far. I'll look into Dave Holtzman and see if he's like Ramachandran :) I'll give Cornell another look as well, but maybe for something related to nanotech.
