Never got National Merit letter?

I'm a little worried because I scored a 218 on the National Merit (in California, so I should be commended since the cutoff is 201, right?), but I never received anything. I had already put that I'm a Commended on my college apps, however, now I'm getting worried because I never received anything - no letter, no certificate, nothing. My counselor seems unaware that Commended scholars even exist.

What do I do? Do I contact the colleges and tell them I'm not a National Merit commended?

i wouldn’t worry about it. Your school probably misplaced your letter. The cut-off is like 201 for Commended.

The certificate is probably on someone’s desk in the counseling office. But, whether you have it in hand or not, you are definitely National Merit Commended if you really scored a 218 on the test.
