if i don't do well on my sat2's on saturday i have decided that i will take the ACT in september and take my sat2s again in october. anyways i was focused on the SAT for the past 6 months and i have managed to bring my 1860 from march to a 2k (been studying ever since).

so my main question is how should i prepare for the ACT? can i get a full background info on the test?

also do any CCers have any guides for like writing and stuff for the ACT? i know the SAT does. also i know there are alot of SAT guides on how to approach everything and i was wondering if CCers with the ACT have any? i tried skimming the first few pages but i didn't find anything particular...

Silverturtle’s Guide to the SAT will do just fine for grammar rules and other reading/writing tips. Plus it’s free (top of the SAT subsection). English grammar is English grammar.

Pick up any test prep guide at your local bookstore to get familiar with the questions and to isolate weak areas. Save the ACT Red Guide for last – these are REAL former ACT tests and will give you a very good approximation of how well you will do during the actual exam.

@loremipsum: when u say the red guide u mean the book that iis called something like ‘the real ACT’ or something?

what review books should i get?

Yep. Get any other review guide you can find cheap, maybe on Amazon or from a thrift store. None of them are perfect and few, if any, change their questions from one year to the next, so get an older edition if it’s cheap.
