<p>I never really liked the taste of meat, and I suppose in 6th grade I figured I was old enough to handle my own diet. That and I read some pretty nasty articles that made it clear to me that it's healthy without it.</p>

<p>Yeah its a mixture of religion (i'm Hindu) and culture. you'll find a lot of Hindus that eat meat though.</p>
<p>Nah, I'm the only one. My family isn't that big on meat though, so it's pretty easy.</p>
<p>Yeah, my friend is Hindu, and she and her family(other than her brother) are vegetarians, but most of my Hindu friends actually eat meat. And I LOVE eating her mom's food, even though it's a little too spicy sometimes. :</p>

<p>The only times I crave meat are when I haven't had protein in a while and I suppose my body starts to detect that deficiency...I start craving In N' Out burgers. It's not often though.</p>
