24 Thread

I make no secret of my love affair with 24. Heck, the show has guided me toward being in federal work.

But season 6 started, which means less studying, more Jack Bauer.

SPOILER WARNING

Who thought that Jack biting someone to death was the coolest thing ever? I mean, really.

I went, "Uhhhhhh!!!"

It was badass.

What a way to start...seems there's a penchant for going to the throat this season, though... (first biting, then the nightsticks, then the gunshot wound).

tonights was badass. so much suspense with what happened, i cant wait till the next episode (i won't ruin it for others)

I loved episode 4!!!

When he shot Curtis I had an orgasm. AHAHAHa and when teh nuke went off i had multiple orgasms. IT was awesome! (btw I'm a guy so yes I know multiple orgasms aren't possible)

You have got to love teh expression on Curtis's face when he got shot down. he looked like a baby. ROFLMFAO

"You have got to love teh expression on Curtis's face when he got shot down. he looked like a baby. ROFLMFAO"

Ouch! No sympathy for a guy who was shot by his friend. Jk.

Those first 4 episodes were ridiculous!!!

Jack Bauer does "the dracula" to a terrorist

A Nuke goes off.

Jack vomits.

This was all great T.V. I still think the funniest thing was having Kal Penn, better known as Kumar from "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle," portray a terrorist. Sure, he is Arabian, but after seeing him as Kumar, I just couldn't take him for a terrorist. My brother and I kept laughing when he tried to be serious. This all may sound bizzare, but if you saw "Harold and Kumar got to White Castle," maybe you'd understand.

Haha. Michelle's still dead.

=]

My friend's gasping in horror...again.

Kal Penn isn't Arabian - he's a desi (quite a big difference).

What's was more humorous was that Penn, a 30 year old (this year) was playing a HS student.

"Kal Penn isn't Arabian - he's a desi (quite a big difference)."

Sorry about that. Kal was obviously selected for the role because he could be believed as an Arabian. I still think that casting could have chosen someone else because everyone I know who saw "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" before seeing these episodes of 24 associated him with Kumar.

"What's was more humorous was that Penn, a 30 year old (this year) was playing a HS student."

That's true, but not unheard of. The movie "Grease" features many "old" HS students. John Travolta was 24 in it, and he was one of the younger ones. Stockard Channing was in her 30s!

And did you really believe Channing was a HS student (much less a college student)?

All I got to say about these episodes is...

HOLY CRAP!!!

After the 4th episode, I was literally left speechless.

For what you say about Kal Penn, they never actually said how old his character was. His character could have been college age living with his parents, just like the other family.

I think they did a good job with Jack having his breakdown after killing Curtis, it for once shows a different side to Jack, a side that I wish would remain a theme throughout the rest of the season.

As far as next week's episode, we finally get to see the man influencing Logan...perhaps find out about one of the big organizations in all of 24. (Saying that makes me wish they developed Max more in Season 2)

And...President Palmer's chief of staff is potentially a traitor. They've seemed to give hints to it throughout the episodes.

"I think they did a good job with Jack having his breakdown after killing Curtis, it for once shows a different side to Jack, a side that I wish would remain a theme throughout the rest of the season."

I agree.

Too little of Jack Bauer, too much of other irrelevant distractions.

24 is pretty much the most kickass show ever. Every Monday, I just turn off my brain and tune into this show. Great.

In other news, I'm trying to watch season 1 of The Wire but freaking Blockbuster is effing me over. Don't they check to see if their disks are scratched before renting them out?!

I just started watching 24 for the first time, via dc++, I've watched 12 episodes (of season one...I want to go through them in order) in the last 5 days!

I hope the show stays this good throughout all of the seasons

when i started watching the show i watched the first four seasons (72 hours total) in 3 weeks, and i barely watch tv- thats how good this show is

this show is so good I stopped watching porn. yea thats how good it is.

Hahaha.

That's great.

They have reruns at 12:30 am Sundays.

stonecold23: My family did the same thing...but I think we did it in a month. We bought the first season cause we really got into the 5th season. We watched that in like 3 days...with all of our schedules and everything. We actually went and bought the second season at like 9pm after finishing the first season. Pretty amazing on our part.

So...who else thinks its weird that they are selling the first 4 hours of season 6 on DVD already?? Trying to get our money...
