My list was similar as Ron Paul’s but BClintonk is absolutely right. The DB must be incomplete or not have the proper translation of data in it. For instance if the AF Academy comes up based on scores and cost, then Navy and West Point should as well. Neither were anywhere on the list. It’s an interesting toy at this point but not ready for prime time.

Pretty cool

1- Cal tech
2- Princeton
3-Harvard
4- MIT
5-Brown
6- Stanford
7-Columbia
8-U Penn
9-Wesleyan
10-Vassar

Definitely needs more variables. In my case I would not even consider Cal Tech nor MIT. My preference based on my own research and visits to the schools actually is:

1- Brown
2- Princeton
3- Harvard
4- Columbia

Yale would have been my second choice but it did not even get ranked!!

I noticed that if you include staff salaries on your pie, you get a list headed by the Ivies and the schools US News rankings love so much.

Good measure or bad measure and why?

Criteria:
33% SAT Midranges (11% per section)
22% ACT Midranges (11% per section)
11% Percent Female Students (Higher = better )
9% Tuition (Lower = better)
9% S:F Ratio (Lower = better)
8% # Students Total (Closer to 25000 = better)
8% # Entering Freshmen (Closer to 3500 = better)

Weird student totals, but I like that ranking! (#4 especially!)

they were #s i considered not to big and not to small.

why would you say “ewww” to Bryn Mawr?
