ehmygod!
im toootally staying up.
ps, jb1 you made my life better

ok, i know this sounds really lame everyone
but im so glad i found this. im ALWAYS on the mercersburg site, and y family hasnt really backed this whole boarding school thing up. I really did this application all by myself, minus financial aid obvi, but its been really hard for me, and i thought i was alone, esp cuz my two older sisters are making fun of me for trying, aka, they never did.
so im realllly glad i found this.
and, i guess that was kind of pointless? haha, but thats all=]

I don't think that's really lame, mburg hopeful. I felt the same way when I first found CC. And I still do. :-)

P.S. I never welcomed you to CC, so welcome!

thhank you dahhling.
im excited to be here.

14 days guuuys!

lol why 12:01? Why not 12:00? It's still March 10.

and mburg hopeful, I feel the same way about doing the whole app by yourself thing, except I actually did fill out the FA forms online for my mom, and she reviewed it to make sure everything was correct. lol

ehmygod, me too!
we gotta stick together!
haha, i cant wait for march tenth, and so on, to see everyones results.
i remember the last thread, the people last year just like, fell off the side of the earth and never said whether they were in or not.
you guys are probably the second people im telling!

speaking of...are you going into school and immediately telling your friends?
i dont really have good friends at my school, cuz they're all very immature and just annoy me. Although, I don't really just want to pull a total Serena Van Der Woodsen and just happen to not show up in September...
what's your plans?

I have limited friends as well so I'll probablyy tell my parents first, then my extended family, then my best friend, then my boyfriend. After that they'll tell their friends and so on. Basically by 2:00 on March 11th the whole school will know if or where I'm going.
They'll either get the info from someone else or hear my screams of happiness when I get my letters!!

haha awh, that sounds soo right.
I was thinking of telling close family, and my principal, so that he would announce it at my honor roll assembely a few days later, but i think people would just make a big fuss and be really mad at me.

im soo staying up till midnight on march tenth btw..
anyone else get emails?
and where are you applying/hope to go!?

I'm applying to Lawrenceville, St Georges, Miss Porters, and Blair.
Its all mail. All of it. And I live in a really remote town so my mail probably wont end up in our mailbox until after the 10th. Especially since 3/10 is a monday...
I might spontaneously combust!

Yeah, you guys will probably be the second or third people I tell. First I'll probably tell my mom and sister because they will just be somewhere around the house, then I'll text or call all my andover summer session friends who are applying, then I'll come on CC, and later call my relatives and stuff. I'm probably not going to school on March 10, so I'll tell people the next day at school. At my school, if you tell ONE person something, the whole school will know in about an hour. I didn't tell anyone at my school that I was applying, and my advisor was like, "your ninth grade friends are sad that you might be leaving." I was like *** I didn't tell any of my friends that I'm applying out and I told my teachers not to tell anyone. lol

haha, yeah ill tell my mom [who will happen to be a foot away from me] and then ill leave a voicemail for my friends at mburg.
and that sucks cricket! i would like, explode.
yeh, my guidance counselor is just insane..so i didnt let her know
ahah.
where are you applying jonathan?

My town has no problem "spreading news". Haha. I swear, my whole town gossips like old women. The kid behind the register at the movie cinema asked "Arnt you the freshman who is bailing out of high school?"

mburg hopeful- Didnt your Guidence counselor need to fill out a rec.?

hahaha!
god, do you live in like stars hollow!
if you dont understand that then sorry..
hha
be careful saying it to your parents, the town might overhear!

but i saw someone say earlier, that the application is soo not the hardest part, the notification wait is!
and i agree.
im keeping myself occupied by reading an entire series, "the clique"
there really easy, but hey, why not!

I'll probably tell my family, call my extended family, tell all my friends, and then the whole school will eventually know by the end of the day at 2:30 on March 11. Of course, I'll tell you guys A.S.A.P.!

P.S. I love the Clique, too.

ahhaha, yeah, its pretty sick how things travel.
but i promise, [if i stay up till midnight, and IF the emails there, ill tell you guys FIRST, and post it on here]
mainly cuz if i run into my mother's room screaming at midnight..well..she might be scared.

Did you read the new clique book? It just came out :) Trashy teen novels are my favorite (but I didnt write that on the application)!

@mburg: I live in a town EXACTLY like Stars Hollow but with more pretentious kids and with more expensive coffee...

nah, i started the series just today, but im 5 pages away from finishing the second, best friends for never. and me too!

haha, thats so funny, im glad you understood! i used to live in a town like that in upstate new york, trust me, if you moved anywhere else, youd reallly miss it!

i havn't yetr read the clique books, haven't brought myself to do it, but i prob. will eventually.

first people ot know? umm...whoever hears me screaming (ors sobbing) first, i guess. but for sps (where i really want to go) the results will be up at 12 my time, but of course, at that time, i'm half way through a dance class and i would rather eat fried cockroaches then ask a dance teacher if i could leave class to find out results. so i'll have to wait an extra 45 minutes, which is absolutely horrible. i don't think i can take this!!!!!!

ahhaha, i know the feeling, i danced for 9.5 years, and NOBODY dared even go to the bathroom..lol
but you should, there good, and obvi a way easy read.
i ACCIDENTLY! told my mother that her and I would be recieving an email[ this was before i Knew it came at twelve, or at least hopefully] so anyway, i FREAKED out.
cuz shes like, oh! then i can read it, and text you while your at school saying yes or no!

and im like, yeah, and right before that, you can shoot me!
haaa, yeah right!

Nelly, I didn't know SPS was your #1 choice!!
Have noo fear! 45 minutes will fly by compared to 14 days! I'm positive you'll get in SOMEWHERE!
