So…what with the new feature where I get the little wheel and I can “dismiss” a pinned thread.
When these new features debut, it would be really nice if a banner could be on each forum so folks know what the new feature means!
There are also ads in the center of every page I open. They take up half the screen on my phone, which is super annoying.
I’ve accidentally clicked on the new middle of the page ads when trying to scroll past them. VERY annoying. Does not make me want to buy the product, and makes me annoyed with CC at the same time.
Is there any way to get a “dismissed” thread back after you dismiss it?
@CCadmin_Sorin, The ads in the middle of the page cause every page to pause as it loads on my phone. Then the page shifts up and loads fully. It’s making me physically nauseated and if it starts triggering migraines I’m not going to be able to use this site.
I’ve checked with the team and apparently this is not a new feature. It seems like users were able to dismiss pinned threads for quite a while now on College Confidential. Once you dismiss a thread, there’s no way to add it back up (but the thread will still show in the forum listing). Thanks!
When I dismiss a thread…it disappears from the threads listed on the forum.
Also, these little wheels to dismiss have NOT been there for a while…unless a while is the day I started this thread.
Yes, same here. And that “feature” only started about a week ago.
