OP- you don’t by any chance have other kids at home, who will still be in a Catholic School? Several families at our school have reported Fordham and USD giving about $10,000 off of tuition for that with kids in your son’s score range.

One quick note about paying for car insurance: with many companies you can call and tell them the dates that child will be away and not driving, and they will remove them from the policy for that period of time.
I tried to set it up for the year, with the dates dd would be home and away, but my company doesn’t do it that way. I need to remember to call them back to get coverage for Thanksgiving week, then call again to have her taken off, etc. Kind of a pain in the neck, but a way to save some money.

Yeah…my bro did that with his niece at SLO. She didn’t have a car, so he removed her from his insurance. He put her back on during the summer, and then took her off again in the fall.

Yes - I do have 2 other kids in Catholic Elementary School - so that’s good to know!

My son got his new SAT scores back and he improved 170 points so he’s at 2020 now and 1350. We’ll have his ACT scores back in a couple weeks I think.

Thanks everyone for the help, this board is great.

Super good news!!!

Hope his ACT score improves as well (has he taken the ACT before?)
