New MCAT and pre med programs

Hello! I'm currently a high school senior who, like many of you, hope to one day become a doctor. However, I am applying to college as a journalism major along with pre med. Through high school I have taken many Journalism classes and have won awards in the subject which I hope will improve my chances of getting accepted. However, I recently read a US News article on the changes being made to the MCAT which said that "It will be almost impossible for people who are not science majors to go to medical school." This obviously worries me. However, most Journalism programs are primarily liberal arts classes. Am I screwed for the new MCAT due to my major choice, or will I be able to take enough classes to get me prepared for the test? Thank you for the help.
