New Mcat - Changing to premed as a Sophomore?

So the new MCAT requires biochemistry. I entered college as undecided and just did general education courses. Right now, I want to do premed. So sophomore year I will do general chemistry and Junior Year I will do Organic. However, how do I take the new MCAT and apply around summer before Senior if I haven't taken Biochem. My school requires that I do 2 semesters of Organic Chem before I can do Biochem (and they don't let exceptions...) I really want to do the traditional 4 years undergrad to med school. What can I do??! I wish I wasn't so undecided at freshman year :( and that they didn't change the new MCAT right now... Argg.. Help?

You’re in luck! As I understand it, the new MCAT doesn’t start until 2015. You’ll want to take the MCATs before then anyway.

I believe that OP is a freshman (they said sophomore year they WILL do so+so) , so wouldn’t they be taking it right after the new mcat starts? May be wrong, but seems that way.

Cnes10 is correct! Unfortunately, they will change the MCAT during my time :(

Any suggestions???

BUMP!

About the only idea I have would be to ask your school if they would allow you to simultaneously enroll in Ochem 2 and biochem
