Go Bucks!!

Oops!! Mods, I meant to post this at Ohio Stateā€™s school sub-forumā€¦ Please remove or relocate this thread for me!! Sorryā€¦ :frowning:

Itā€™s ok Sparkeye7. When tOSU moves up into the top 50 at USNWR, I will expect you to post it here. That was supposed to happen like three years ago, right?

^^ What do you mean, rjk? Itā€™s currently ranked #34 not only in the nation but the whole world!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though, due to the ā€œfluidā€ nature of the USNWR methodology, I expect tOSU to move into the Top-50 in the next year or two. And you can take my word to the bank! Go Bucks!!

  1. I am surprised, I thought Alabama or Florida would have ranked No 1. But Go Bucks!
  2. Where is the tOSU sub forum??
  3. I will join the betting pool. In the next two years tOSU is going to move into top 50. There is no doubt about it. Sucker bet. :)

OSU certainly deserves a high ranking on a list like this, but based on those criteria, I donā€™t see how any school could rank higher than Alabama. Aside from filling a stadium 4x the size of their student body, having the most bowl appearances and wins of any school, and (of course) the most national championships, Bama football is a way of life down there. The salute to their team is literally part of the language across the state. Roll Tide is used as a greeting, farewell, praise, apology, etc. Pretty meaningless list, but how can Bama not be at the top?

Oh oh. Going the wrong way!

ā€œWhat do you mean, rjk? Itā€™s currently ranked #34 not only in the nation but the whole world!!!ā€

Actually, itā€™s not #34 in the nation, itā€™s #54. Michigan State is #75 in the world.

" I will join the betting pool. In the next two years tOSU is going to move into top 50. There is no doubt about it.
Sucker bet."

Sucker bet for whom? OSU was #52 last year, and is now #54. I expect a continued slide, but I wonā€™t make any bets.

My bad, OSUmom2018! I accidentally posted the thread at our General Forum earlier and asked the Mods to relocate the thread here. :stuck_out_tongue:

@rjk,

Unfortunately, same can be said about Michiganā€™s last few years in terms of USNWR rankingā€¦ Thatā€™s why I stated that due to the ever ā€˜fluidā€™ nature of its recent ranking methodology, it will take tOSU another year or two at most to be recognized by the magazine. In short, the topic of this thread is about tOSUā€™s #1 rank by the Niche in terms of football program. Letā€™s try to get back to the topic, should we? :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL

OK, got it. This is the subforum.
Got it on the topic at hand, betting on academic ranking goes to another thread.

I go off topic at the drop of a hat. :frowning:
Mods always try to make me a linear thinker.
