I am interested in applying for their Honors Program, but would like to hear some personal opinions first. What do you think of the program? Is it difficult? Would the extra work be doable in addition to all of the extra hours required for Theatre rehearsal? What do you think of the dorms? I read that Honors is housed in a new dorm building, with suite style rooms...like/dislike? Anything you can share would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks =)

D is a JR in the honors prg. The dorms in Lenape are the newest dorms,she lived there FR. year. They are nice, new, bigger rooms etc. but the building is further away from the other dorms. There are pluses and minuses. Lenape is not strictly for honors, so you could be living with non-honors students.
The work is not alot of extra work, just different classes. They require I think 4 honors classes to graduate with the honors program. Those classes have been some of her favorite classes. Seminar style, very interesting subject matter, great teachers. Then you do a thesis project/paper on a topic related to your major. She is an art and eng. lit major and has found the work doable, although very stressful during exam/midterms.
Huge plus is having Jeff Miller as her advisor, beign able to register first for classes, beign able to have the honors center to hang out/work in between classses. Hope that helps. She went to sit in on an honors seminar class before deciding to attend and that was what really impressed her.
