New ranking puts University of Chicago at #1 for protection of viewpoint diversity

As parents and students embark on the monumental financial and educational decision as to which college to attend, this new ranking should be given consideration. Chicago’s peer schools—Harvard, Yale, Princeton & Stanford are also measured in this study. This ranking should be considered when making early decision choices, or when making cross admit matriculation decisions from among the peer group.

Look, I love freedom of expression as much as anyone, but there are limits. At some point, the coddling needs to stop and students need to get used to the idea that others will disagree with them. After college, nobody’s going to protect you from dissenting opinions.

Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way in college. I, for one, am glad our administration is giving conservatives the safe space they need.

1 at pandering to conservative alumni

My son who is attending Uchicago is very liberal yet appreciates the college’s commitment to free speech. Very “snarky” remark. I would expect better from you based on your prior posts.

Just expressing alternative viewpoints!

You’re absolutely right. I acquiesce. We should all be able to express our viewpoints, no matter how divergent or controversial. Hmm… very “UChicagoish!”

Don’t worry @HydeSnark in a few decades you will be one of those conservative alumni! ^#(^
