Hey guys, I've received my January SAT II score for the Biology Molecular test and I got 780!

I've sent this score and the colleges already received the score, but I was wondering if there is a chance that my new score was received after the colleges read my application and made a decision on my application.

Should I email the colleges to notify them of my new score or will they look over my new score even without the email?

Thanks.

P.S: I applied to most of the Ivies, WUSTL, Wesleyan, McGill, and UBC.

I thought that colleges only looked at scores sent by December, but maybe that’s just the UCs? Either way, one SAT II score probably wouldn’t have much of an impact.

If you’re at all concerned that they haven’t “seen” the score or that they may “miss” it send admissions a suitably worded diplomatic reminder email.

It should state pretty clearly on each school’s admissions pages whether or not they consider January scores. If they do, then they’ll see the score without your having to send them an email. And if they don’t, then your email won’t make any difference.

If you want to send an email anyway (for your own peace of mind), then say something very simple like:

“Please note that I’ve taken the January 2013 subject test in Biology and have had a score report sent to you.”

It can’t hurt, and maybe they’ll be nice and look at the score even if they usually don’t! :)
