New to MBA idea, could I be competitive + general advice?

UG GPA 3.1 (BS from tier 1 engineering school and program) major and last 2yrs both ~3.4

GRE 170V[760-800] 163Q[780] 4.5W4.5

Should be able to get fantastic recs from current employer (how many needed, 2?)

Work experience would be 1.5 yr coop and 2 years full-time at a tech startup (let's classify it as aerospace research) where I am a serious player on the technical team and manage 3-4 separate projects simultaneously (5 people under me).

I'm particularly interested in the combined MBA + MEM Kellogg program (MMM) but I'm interested in any and all advice--end goal would be upper level management in high tech. I was thinking that my stats would be similar to the applicant pool in that at least many of them will be from engineering backgrounds.

Should I wait longer than two years full time? Does my gpa knock me out of the top tier? Do I need anything else critical for admission? Is a part-time MBA regarded as highly as a full-time MBA? Etc, general wisdom welcome

Thanks
