new wave due?

I don't know if you'll be able to get that "straight" in here. This thread is currently experiencing some guy on guy action. Ah. Sorry. Everyone check out the nonsense thread "For Those Of You Who Are Tired Waiting"

oh yeah i was kinda busy so i poofed for a bit :</p>

and i try to stay off cc because it gives me this nasty feeling in my stomach. in the end though....

:\ i have to come back.

my friend got in yesterday.

agh. stupid marshall and their mainly male populated school.

mainevent, u ahole. thanks for makin it harder

mainevent is not our friend. and we were all just starting to get along...

lol... I am in the same boat as everybody here, don't think that I've already gotten in, but I like to find some sort of humor in the anticipation.

how was that humor?

lol no not really no, but that's alright, no worries mainevent.

Well, honestly and realistically speaking, everybody just doesn't get in, although the ironic thing is, on this website, the only people who spend the time to post and read posts are probably students diligent enough to be getting accepted anyways. So the humor is in the irony of the situation, I guess.

well whatever's gonna happen is gonna happen regardless soo it doesn't matter what people say.

you know that thing where you say things to make other people believe them but you don't believe it yourself?

yeah :(

let's all be nice and play fair now :D

mainevent, have you ever read REMAINS OF THE DAY, where Stephens had to practice his "bantering?" I'm seeing some parallelism here.

main event i get wat your saying about CC students..i think youre right about that..to a point of course

one thing about CC is everyone alwas wants to generalize all people w/o regard to the fact that there's always exceptions and outliers

and people are mean. lol.

and brutal.

it's all in good fun. mainevent, you are our friend. :). I'd just appreciate you a lot better if you didn't remind me of my chances of being rejected. and if you think people are brutal: please go to the "Final Chance at USC. Thanks!!" thread and read all of SUZE's comments. but don't worry. I went off on her already.

haha yeah some people assume everybody is like them and wants the blunt truth when really its not always best lol

i remember way back when when i read the NM thread b4 i got my semifinalist letter cause i was tryin to see the cutoff for texas and people were like well my son only got a 2290, so i really dont know about his cghances that score is just so low

i got a 2160 adn thought that was good til i came on here haha..and ppl will still be like wow u aced the SAT and im like well not rly, according to CC...

um. try going to my high school. 2220? what a joke. only anything above 2350+ is worth talking about.

But what I like about USC is that they weigh in so many other factors in deliberating over a person, not just the numbers.

Like, the essay, quick takes, extracirriculars, who you are as a person, etc. Things that can't be conveyed through numbers and figures.

I think mainevent is the only one who hasn't been hit with the craziness the rest of us in the other thread have. Congratulations1

i used to feel confident about my essays... but seeing as it's late mid march and still nothing, not even a mdy request.....

maybe my essays suck.
