WOW. Symphony, that looks a lot like mine. I have a 4.2 W and a 28 on my act.

What were your ECs like?

thank you for posting your stats symphony
when was the letter dated and postmarked?

oh and, Congratulations!!!

symphony, i put down health and humanity as my 1st choice as well!!!
but... i still haven't gotten any mail from USC...

*I have a question.. *

I applied to Annenberg as my 1st major, undeclared as my second.

Am I suppposed to receive a letter if I wasn't accepted at Annenberg but still considered for CLAS as undeclared?

I haven't received anything... I wonder if that means I never passed CLAS' first wave.. I know CLAS looks at all the applicants, then they get sent to seperate departments once they pass.

i'm in a lot of band related activities. saxophone section leader of 4 different bands throughout high school, president and co-founder of traditional jazz band, activities director of community college honors society, play flute at church, volunteer for church, work 20 hours a week with dad as a plumber, worked at mervyns, and more i can't really think now i'm too excited.

i have no legacy at USC, but I am half black, half filipino. I put biracial down on the application so i'm not sure if that had any major effect on my decision. I applied by the scholarship deadline. I am a dual enrollment student so I will have completed 62 units by the end of may, but usc will only take a fraction of those units so i have a tough choice to make later down the road if i get into ucla, which will accept all 62.

I kind of see a trend among those who have been accepted, although, like most trends, it doesn't apply in all cases. I've noticed that most of the people who are getting accepted are getting accepted into the College and those few who have been getting into the more prestigious schools (Annenberg, Cinematic Arts, Viterbi, Marshall) have been the more tier 1 students. Has anybody else noticed the same trend?

I got into Viterbi...I don't think I'm tier 1 though. But my friend, who is ranked higher than me with a higher GPA (duh) and a higher SAT I & II scores just got her acceptance today...and she is put undecided as her major. Maybe USC does do it by school and majors =\ iunno

Well, like I said, there will be exceptions to every trend. But it really appears as if the whole thing is becoming quite sporadic. There seems to be no method to this March madness as the days painfully expire.

My D is still waiting to hear from Thornton. She was admitted into her second choice in Letter, Arts and Sciences (English) major, but hasn't heard anything from Thornton yet. Does that mean she did not get accepted into Thornton or are decisions from Thornton still pending?

momuv3- I applied to Thornton as a music industry major and have yet to hear from the school or Thornton. It seems that the music majors notified so far tend to be ones that received the large scholarships from the university.

over 28,000 hits on this subject.....has the last wave come and gone yet?
