There's no postmark on the envelope but it must have been mailed March 5 because the date of the letter is March 5, 2007 (received March 6). I'm about 45 minutes from USC. One friend got in also.

It's a big, thick envelope. It does not say "You're In" on anything on the outside- just a big gold stripe and the return address "USC Undergraduate Admission." There is lots of cardinal and gold stuff inside!

Inside it says there were more than 34,000 applicants and there will be 2,650 in the class of 2011.

Yeeeaaahhh! Daughter in, Socal, March 5 postmark, still can't log on. Waiting to hear if BA or BFA Theatre. Very very very happy either way!
Good Luck!

I got it! I got it! I GOTTT ITTT!! After waiting for months, I got my 'SC acceptance letter. Man that folder is big. I need to start calling people.

Ah! I can't edit my last post but for the figure "2,650 out of 34,000," is that USC's expected number of students who will actually attend the school? How can they just estimate that number? I wonder how many people were accepted.

Who gets the red folder? Does every admittee get one? On another thread, it seemed like some people get red folders, and others just get letters (maybe I misread something).

And congrats to those who have been accepted!

Here's the text from the "Big Red Folder":
"Congratulations! You are part of a very select group- the 2,650 diverse, talented and highly motivated individuals who will become the USC class of 2011.

You stood out among more than 34,000 other applicants because you demonstrated to us that you have the academic ability, leadership promise and personal commitment to thrive in the challenging USC environment."

There is no other explanation as to how they got these numbers.

were the majority that got accepted today dec 10 applicants or jan 15th applicants?
if you were dec 10th did you only get the no scholarship letter or both?
