New World vs Old World Spanish on AP/IB/SAT II tests?

Do the AP and IB tests on Spanish and/or the SAT Subject test reflect the Spanish as spoken in Mexico (and other new world countries) or the official Spanish from Spain? DS says his class learns some conjugations that are specific to the new world. The southern CA influence also means that the spoken Spanish uses Mexican pronunciation.

He is currently taking 3rd year Spanish. 4th year is either AP or IB Spanish. The IB SL and IB HL Spanish classes are taught in together (same teacher, time, and classroom). I don’t know much about IB tests yet, since he has only taken AP tests so far. (IB classes are ala carte at this school, and few students do enough IB classes to get a diploma. So, you can choose either one–mostly based on which teacher you prefer and which class fits your schedule.)

I can’t speak at all for IB, but for AP the questions avoid country-specific vocabulary. You can choose to write your FRQ’s with country-specific vocabulary and/or conjugations (e.g. vosotros/vos) without penalty as long as you are consistent.
