New York Regents!! Math B!!

Thanks. I'm sorry- just confused. I think I only got a point. crap

What qualifies as a "computational error"?

A "computational error" is when you added/subtracted/multipled/divided incorrectly. This can result from inputting the wrong number/operation into your calculator, or simply transferring/rounding the answer on your calculator onto paper.

so if I did the wrong list for the stats on the president one. . .does that count as one computational error?

You had to write the mean and standard deviation formula down to get credit, as well as substituting correctly. You can't simply enter all the x valules in list 1 and frequency in list 2 then go to 1-VARS to get your mean and standard deviation. If you chose those method, I don't see any work.

we never learned a formula for standard deviation! darn. . .

hey the document wont open for me can anyone tell me the conversion chart

according to the chart, I got a 93 on the darn regents, oh well good enough. also, for questions that required most calculator work, you had to show work (write down on your test booklet the steps you did on your calculator) in order to get full credit. B/c then they wouldn't be able to tell where you made a "computational error" and besides you have to show all work.

Do they clear your calculator for science (chemistry/physics) regents? Are TI-89T allowed?

for chem, you need to use a scientfic calc (e.g. TI-30X IIS) and for physics, you can use a graphing calc

i dont think they cleared my calc for chem (last year) and i doubt it would need to be cleared for physics

Luckily I did write what I did on my calculator. . .I think I got 93 too, which is good enough to get me into AP Calc Senior year. . .

Oooo! 70 posts! yay!

Wait. ..I didn't write it on the calculator, I wrote it on the test actually. . .yeah

Ahh I got my score I got a 96!! YAYY

i got a 76... is that bad for college? hahaa

i got a 95!

97, wooooooooo

97.......I hate it. It was too easy to get a 97.

What is regents..is it like state testing? is it just in new york?
And does it like count for your grade or something?

96, not bad for someone who sucks at math

greendayfan- the regents are a series of tests all new york public high school students have to take in order to graduate. they count for 1/5 of the student's final grade in that subject and there's one for almost every subject.
I personally think they're rather easy.

do u have to take finals/midterms too??? that would suck.
