<p>The School of Cinematic Arts at USC has announced a new major will be added to the undergraduate list. It will be a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts and Practice. More about the new major can be found on the SC website or call 213 740 2911 .</p>

<p>Recently SCA has received two major donations. Sumner Redstone has donated $10 million and Bryan Singer $5 million.</p>

<p>Chris Terrio '02 was honored with the Scripter Award for the screen adaptation of Argo. He was awarded a Golden Globe for Screenwriting, Best Drama for Argo. </p>

<p>Other alumni of SCA or the School of Dramatic Arts were either nominated or received Academy Awards, Writer's Guild of America, NAACP Image, Golden Globes, PGA or MPEG honors:</p>

<p>Tamara Shogaolu, a USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate student, has been named a 2013 Luce Scholar. She is one of only 18 selected across the nation. Luce Scholars study or do research in Asia.</p>

<p>Miss Shogaolu has also been honored as a Fulbright Scholar.</p>
